Concussions in Minor Hockey

 Please read it and let me know what you think.  It is my opinion that bodychecking should be removed from Minor Hockey in order to reduce the number of concussions. I was recently told by a concussion specialist, that concussions incurred at earlier ages - such as Peewee, can lead to more easily getting concussions later in life, and more severe concussions.  So how can we let bodychecking continue?  Please comment, or at least read the article.

Hitting from Behind

In approximately 20 accumulated years of hockey parenting, I have never seen a coach - house league or rep - warn players about the dangers of hitting from behind.  Not once!  If you want to stop hitting from behind - suspend the coach too.
