RANGE Training with Puck Machine
Our RANGE training with PUCK MACHINE is designed to work primarily on the mechanical and technical fundamental skills of the SAVE SELECTIONS which are required by goalies and will allow them to better stop and control pucks. With the use of the PUCK MACHINE, goalies will focus on the development of all required SAVE SELECTION and will encourage the development of vision in relation to tracking of the puck from the release through to the save selection.

This training format will also allow us to isolate and repeat the key elements of save selections and provide for the correction of save fundamentals. With the high volume of shots created by this format and the accuracy of puck placement of the PUCK MACHINE, this allows for the systematic repetition of these fundamentals and will produce consistent execution, correct muscle memory and help with leg strength/core/conditioning

"Year Round Training" Model

To best achieve an athlete’s goals, their training program is best served by beginning with a DEVELOPMENT PLAN of ACTION. The plan should direct the course that the goalie’s training will take throughout the entire calendar year.

“Profile Based Yearly Training Planner” program should direct the course of the training and take into account the development of Mechanics and Techniques (Fundamental Skills), Strategies (Game Situation), Physical (Conditioning) and Managing the Mind (Mental). The yearly training planner should also incorporate the training phases of General Preparation, Specific Preparation, Maintenance/Development and Playoff/Pre-Tryout.

To best help you tailor a Development Program, we will first evaluate the goalie’s "TRAINING PROFILE". His/her level is categorized in an Introductory, Intermediate, Advanced and Jr./PRO training profile. Once established we will give you advice in putting together the Development Program that will identify the Athlete’s Goals along with balancing the Parent's Expectations, which include availability of time, schedule and budget.
