PROGRAM DETAILS
BUILD YOUR SKILLS AND CONFIDENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS BEFORE SPRING TRYOUTS.
STICK HANDLING
-Holding the stick,wrist movement,placement of the puck,moving the puck
PASSING
-giving and receiving passes at slow and full speed
SKATING
-stopping,starting,acceleration,tight turns,backward,forward
PUCK CONTROL
-move with the puck,skating with the puck,keeping your head up,looking to pass the puck,receiving a pass off your skates,puck control along the boards
GOAL SCORING
-shooting techniques,shooting at full speed in traffic,quick release of puck
THINKING
-visualize the play,positioning yourself for a shot or pass,playing without the puck
SHOOTING
-holding the stick,wrist shot,snap shot,slap shot,one timers,weight transfer
